Discover baby & toddler storytime across Sydney

By: Zona Marie Tan-Sheppard, 20 August 2014

The world of books is the first place any child will discover the beauty of imagination. It’s also an opportunity for you to bond and interact with bubs or toddlers to help them develop communication skills. We love that all over Sydney, libraries have dedicated storytime, rhymetime or baby bounce sessions for bubs and kids up to pre-school age.

It’s a great time filler if you’re ever run out of ideas and suffering cabin fever! Just hop on over to your local library at their assigned days of the week. Otherwise, most councils even have a kids reading corner where we’d curl up on the floor on one of the big cushions and read to our hearts content – or toy libraries for play so you can avoid cleaning up for a couple of hours!

Facilities in these great spots would include lego tables, computers, DVDs to borrow and of course, books, books, books!

Best of all, all storytime sessions are FREE and run all year long! Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and most sessions don’t require booking ahead. But do please check with your library by ringing ahead.
