All-you-can-eat: where you can tuck in and let loose without judgement! There are quite a few family-friendly, buffet-style restaurants in Sydney where over-indulgence is on the menu, and we've picked some of our favourites. Wear loose clothes, and enjoy!

1. Harvest Buffet at The Star

"Gaze, Graze, Repeat". The family favourite Harvest Buffet at The Star is a feast for the senses - there are five food stations with cuisine from all over the world, including the child favourite dessert station with three large chocolate fountains (see below)! You'll find delicacies such as prawns, oysters, marinated clams, spanner crab, various soups and salads, roasts with all the trimmings like roast chicken with Yorkshire pudding, butter chicken and naan bread, prawn mei Goreng, pizzas, a selection of cheeses, and so much more. Read our recent review here.

2. Cafe Opera, InterContinental Sydney

This decadent Land and Sea Lunch and Dinner Buffet in the CBD features fresh fish from the Sydney Fish Market and delicious meats from the Southern Highlands sourced daily. Think over-the-top dessert displays by in-house pastry chefs, beside overflowing platters of oysters, tiger prawns and mussels. Other menu items include chorizo omelettes, pork belly, Belgian waffles, all kinds of macaroons, and the Sydney-inspired Opera Slice. Lunch prices start at $59/adult and $30/child (5-12 years) Monday-Friday, and $83/adult and $40/child on weekends, with the weekend offer including unlimited sparkling wine and soft drinks. Or better yet, grab one of the Double Dining deals currently on offer, with prices starting at $89 for two adults.

Did we mention there's a daily Breakfast Buffet here too? For $45/adult and $25/child, from 6.30am for the early risers, through to 10.30am.

3. Churrasco, Coogee

Brazilian BBQ at Coogee, Woolloomooloo and Caringbah. Cooked on an open flame, this popular and unique eatery will bring you over barbequed and smoked meats, veggies, salads, and antipasto until your heart's content for $43/adult (or $35/adult if you're vegetarian) and $20/child aged 6-12. Visit their website.

4. Pizza Autentico, Surry Hills

Head here between 6 and 9pm any night of the week and take a seat at the communal concrete slab for an all-you-can-eat Italian feast - authentic pizza and pasta galore for just $25/head! Highlights include their f-cheese gnocchi, and authentic, crispy, thin crusts.

5. Bungarribee Buffet, Blacktown

A local favourite. In the Blacktown Worker's Club, you'll find a range of international cuisine including Australian, Asian, and European in a super family-friendly and casual environment. Pricing is super reasonable: FREE for under 3s, between $7.90-16.90 for kids aged 3-12 years, between $15.90 and $26 for visitors and members eat at a discounted rate. Prepare for a carvery, all the seafood, a range of soups, hot dishes, salad bar, desserts, tea and coffee and much more. Visit their website.

6. Spring Street Social, Bondi Junction

This new one, Spring Street Social is bringing the all you can eat dumplings on Wednesdays and Fridays for $30 per person. Vegetarian and sometimes vegan options too. Plus live jazz!

If the sound of that tantalised your taste buds, you'd also probably like the Wednesday special at Daniel San Manly where you can get as many wings as you like for just $19 per person, plus chips on the house.

7. Sokyo, Pyrmont

On the ground level of The Star, you'll find an all you can eat Japanese-inspired breakfast. The Continental Breakfast Buffet with a tea or coffee runs daily from 7am-10.30am for $28/head, or get an ad-on of a la carte dish for $38/head. Menu items include fresh juices and smoothies, the Sokyo Seafood Bowl, Matcha Green Tea Lamingtons, and Eggs Benedict with streaky bacon, poached egg, edamame, brioche, miso hollandaise and ponzu pearls.

8. Star Buffet, Bankstown

Offering 100+ dishes daily, the Star Buffet rotates its selection regularly to keep diners enticed. They have seafood and roasts, a sushi train, roast duck, BBQ pork, tempting desserts and plenty more. It's a family-friendly, welcoming space, with 11 large venues across NSW.
