If you've already tried our favourite milkshakes, babycinos, hot chips and hot chocolates, then never fear, we have another great list of delicious after school treats and weekend family eats for you to try. This time? Our favourite cookies!

Your beloved little cookie monster we're sure will polish off one or two of these hand-picked selections. Note: to be washed down with a glass of milk.

1. Kurtosh

Try their chocolate fudge cookie. We just love Kurtosh, their cafes are always cosy, feel like home, and have an excellent atmosphere in the Winter-time in particular. This cookie, is "rich and soft-baked", and is by far their most popular cookie. It's only $4.90 per 100g (you pay by the weight here). Technically, it' two cookies sandwiching ooey gooey chocolate ganache, but we're definitely not sharing. Venues in Randwick, Surry Hills, Crows Nest, Darlinghurst and Wollongong.

2. Bourke Street Bakery

Try their chocolate and sour cherry cookie. Their signature cookie! The perfect blend of sweet with a bit of sour cutting through. Bourke Street even shared Gourmet Traveller's take on their cookie, so make them at home if you dare challenge the original! Venues in Alexandria, Barangaroo, Neutral Bay, Newtown, North Sydney, Potts Point, Parramatta and Surry Hills.

3. West Juliett

Try their pink salt chocolate chip cookies. People come to West Juliett specifically for this cookie- about 150 are sold each day according to Broadsheet! Melted chocolate bits are perfectly complemented by grains of pink salt, with a famous mix of more chocolate than flour- a cookie unlike anything you've tasted before.Venue in Marrickville.

I Love The Inner West

4. Scout's Honour

Try their burnt butter, triple choc cookie with Nutella centre and sea salt. As if the name alone wasn't enough to tempt you! It's seriously decadent, and pretty much every ingredient is a total fan favourite of ours. Venue in Redfern.

5. Papa Pasticceria

Try their fiore alla fragola, fiore, fiore alla limone, amaretti, or biscotto al cuore. Yes, we know we've suggested a few, but they're all quite modestly-sized and excellently priced, so maybe indulge in a selection! Papa's really are the pastry kings- pretty much everything in their glass cabinets (especially their signature baked ricotta cheesecake) will have you returning again and again. It's just down the road from ellaslist HQ, so you'll often find us there when those afternoon sugar cravings hit! Venues in Bondi Beach, Five Dock and Haberfield.

6. Flour and Stone

Try their hand ice gingerbread cookie. Don't be fooled, just because its gingerbread, it's not the dud one of this list! This modern twist on a classic favourite is made with different icing patterns depending on the day or occasion, is slightly spicy but still adored by children. Venue in Woolloomollo.
