Toymate Want To Be Your New Best Mate, Will Honor Toys ❛R❜ Us Vouchers

Well well well.... there's a new toy store giant in town and they are quick to get all buddy buddy with you!

Aussie retail store, TOYMATE are so keen to get in your good books they are offering customers 20% off their purchase PLUS a free gift when they flash their expired Toys ‘R’ US gift cards (until 5 August, 2018).

Not to dance on Toys ‘R’ Us' grave or anything (they went into liquidation in May and had a very sneaky catch for those wanting to redeem gift vouchers - read the full story here) but this is pretty nice of them. 

And I have to say, the stores are pretty cool. You walk through a rainbow-lit entrance and run through floors covered in race-tracks and Monopoly squares. The store encourages playing, trying and having fun - you will feel like a kid in a, well, toy store. 

Danny Bloom and Idan Levy, TOYMATE​ owners said that the company felt the initiative to honour customers left with Toys ‘R’ US gift cards at TOYMATE ​to show their true Australian spirit.

“We don’t think that it's a fair deal and want to show Australians that the future of toy retail is still very much alive in Australia. Our stores are focused on being experienced based while also offering our customers competitive prices, in-store activities and an amazing range of toys”.

The company already have 18 stores in NSW and will soon open in the Gold Coast and Perth.

In Sydney you will find them in Blacktown, Campbeltown, Chatswood, Lidcombe, Baulkam Hills, Mount Druitt, Penrith, Top Ryde, Windsor, Warriewood Square. Find out more about TOYMATE here.
