While Sydney's high schools are ranked based on their HSC results, determining the 'best' primary schools is a little trickier because some schools have very low enrolment numbers, so the result is not a reliable reflection of the entire school’s performance. Predominantly NAPLAN data (maths and English) for years 3-5 are mined to create a ranking.

Research done by BetterEducation which rates schools based on NAPLAN results has listed the top 10 primary schools in NSW for both Government and non-Government sectors.

This non-government school has a total enrollment of 1876

The Most Crucial Influence

Please know that the most important factor in your child's schooling is not which school they attend - but YOU.

You, as the parent or carer, have the ability to make a huge impact on your child's academic success. Any teacher will tell you that parental involvement is critical in education and they require nurturing all the way from daycare into high school. Caring about their education and being there for your kids is what truly matters when it comes to fostering academic and emotional success.

We have also put together this simple to use guide showing you how to select the right school for your child. Good luck!
