Prince Alfred Pool (Outdoor)

Set in the heart of Sydney next to Central train station, Prince Alfred Pool is the ideal location for you to relax and recharge your batteries.

This iconic facility offers a state of the art 50m lap pool, toddlers splash pad and a large shaded area. The café offers tasty and healthy food accessible to both park and pool users, creating an enjoyable community hub.
Prince Alfred Park Pool offers you an open grassed area for you to kick back, unwind and enjoy the sunshine. There’s also 2 kids playgrounds to play in.

There are always 4 lanes open for public swimming at all times. Busiest times are 6-7.30am and 5.30-8pm Monday to Friday.

Special Access
Prince Alfred Park Pool has been designed to accommodate the various requirements of special needs patrons. Our facility includes ramp access into the pool (wet wheelchair available upon request) and disabled access toilets.

Monday – Sunday; 6am-7pm; year round

*Open until 8pm every night during Daylight Saving times except public holidays. Closed on Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Getting There
Prince Alfred Park is bordered by Cleveland Street at its south end and Chalmers Street at its Eastern end, with Central Station’ s Elizabeth Street exit just north of the park.

Metered parking can be found on the surrounding streets
